After banning 59 Chinese apps in June, Government of India has taken yet another decision to ban more 47 apps that is more likely the clones of the 59 apps that were banned earlier.
The government of India had earlier banned a slew of Chinese apps including TikTok, CamScanner, SHAREit, and UC Browser, among others. The ban was announced under the provisions of Section 69A of the Information Technology Act.

The fresh decision to ban another 47 apps was taken as they were operating as the clones of the 59 apps that were banned last month, according to DD News. A report also suggests that the Indian government has prepared a list of over 250 apps that would be examined for any user privacy or national security violations.
The government is yet to officially release the details related to the ban. However, it is highly anticipated that the popular Chinese gaming app PUBG Mobile will be included in the list.
The Indian Government claims, for India to become completely Aatmanirbhar (Self-Reliant), the ban on these chinese apps is necessary as our country has similar applications.
