OnePlus seems gradually been shifting its focus to all segments, as it’s found to be developing a new handset codenamed “Clover”, which is set to be launched in the US soon under $200 price tag. Further reports tell that other handsets of OnePlus are spotted on GeekBench showing other specs.
OnePlus to Launch Multiple Handsets in Mid-Segment
As per Android Central, reports tell that a new OnePlus handset is in development, which will be even under-specced and cheaper than OnePlus Nord. Touted as OnePlus Clover, the alleged phone is said to be coming with a 6.52″ HD+ display (720p resolution) and a Snapdragon 460 SoC. This could be a way lower than what OnePlus set in Nord.
Well, it’s also said to be coming with Android 10 along with triple rear cameras as one 13-megapixel (f/2.2) as primary sensor and a pair of 2-megapixels (f/2.4) as depth and macro sensors. While the front camera’s capabilities were not revealed, it’s said to be coming with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.

Also, there’s an audio jack, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a massive 6000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support! This handset is said to be launching under $200 price tag, making it the first lower mid-segment OnePlus device. The company has tipped about a new OnePlus smartwatch and did launched OnePlus Nord earlier this month in India and Europe, which has a fair balance between specs and price.
At last, other reports are saying a similar budget OnePlus device spotted on GeekBench listing, which is said to be equipping the Snapdragon 660 processor, 4GB RAM and Android 10 OS. Another leaker tipped about a new OnePlus handset under Rs.20,000 with Snapdragon 662 or Snapdragon 665 SoC. We all have to wait to see which one turns into a reality.
