Moto G 5G Plus

In pursuit of gaining its lost fame, Motorola is actively launching fairly reasonable phones. The Lenovo owned company has now come up with a brand new smartphone – Moto G 5G Plus.

This handset supports 5G, has quad-rear cameras, a good battery, and stock Android – all coming for a price under €350 range. Thus, it’s supposed to face off OnePlus 7 and Redmi K20 Pro, as a worthy contender.

Moto G 5G Plus Specifications

The latest smartphone from Motorola has a huge 6.7″ FHD+ display with 1080×2550p resolution. The screen has a dual punch-hole design and supports HDR10+ along with 90Hz refresh rate. Moving into inner hardware, it runs on Snapdragon’s 765G coupled with Adreno 620 GPU. This is same as Motorola’s Edge and LG’s Velvet.

The software is handled by Android 10 stock version, thus not having any bloatware. In the imaging department, Moto G 5G Plus has a quad-rear setup as, a 48-megapixel (f/1.7) primary sensor, followed by an 8-megapixel (f/2.2) ultra-wide angular, a 5-megapixel (f/2.4) macro lens and a 2-megapixel (f/2.2) depth sensor. Upfront, there are two lenses as 16-megapixel (f/2.0) and an 8-megapixel (f/2.2) in the punch-hole design.

This handset is powered by a massive 5000mAh battery with 20W fast charging support, and comes in two storage variants of either 4GB or 6GB RAM, with onboard storage of 64GB and 128GB respectively. The second SIM slot can be used as microSD for storage expansion. But in other countries, it may come with a dedicated slot.

It’s having all usual connectivities like Bluetooth, WiFi, USB Type-C, audio jack, 4G VoLTE, along with 5G support! It’s touted the phone to be using the average 5G modem as sub-6GHz, unlike mmWave modem used by high-end phones. Yet, it’s still a 5G supportive and has amazing speeds. Further, it has NFS support and a fingerprint sensor given onto the power button, at the side.

Moto G 5G Plus Pricing and Availability

Moto G 5G Plus is currently available for UK and Europe, with prices starting from €349 to its 4GB/64GB variant and €399 for the 6GB/128GB variant. It’s available in Blue colour, and may soon come to Saudi Arabia and UAE. The company also said that the US will be missing this handset, but will get a similar 5G phone under $500 by this year’s end.
