Samsung Galaxy Fold, one of the few foldable phones, that actually is a good premium flagship phone is now getting the long-awaited update. The Android 11 One UI 3 for Galaxy Fold is now rolling out. It has been only a week since the Galaxy Fold 2 got Android 11 One UI 3, and now the update is already out for Galaxy Fold 1.
Samsung has been maintaining its update schedule pretty well. This year Samsung is one of the best Android OEM when it comes to giving updates. Probably one of the few brands to adopt Android 11 so fast, that too for a lot of Samsung Galaxy devices.
Along with the One UI 3 based on Android 11 for Galaxy Fold, the security patch have also been updated to January 2021. Making it one of the few devices that have got this update as well.

As far as changes are concerned, Samsung has improved dark mode, a newly enhanced notification system, and the whole UI has been improved as well with new animations and design elements. One UI 3 also carries some of the stock Android 11 features like chat bubbles, categorized notification system and one-time permission access for apps, and more.
This new update for Galaxy Fold is currently rolling out to users in France, Switzerland, UK, and UAE. The update is majorly rolling out to the LTE versions of the Galaxy Fold with the firmware version as F900FXXU4DUA1.
However, the 5G version of the Fold has also got the update but not majorly, we only got to see the Android 11 update of 5G Galaxy Fold in Switzerland and the UK. The firmware version for the 5G variant is F907BXXU4DUA1.
If you have a Galaxy Fold, you might have already got the update, if not then you must head to settings, and check for updates, an update should be waiting for you, if not then wait for a week and you will get the update. Since most of the OTA updates are a staged-rollout so it takes time to reach everyone.
