Vivo X60 series launched with Zeiss cameras

After teasing the new X60 series earlier, Vivo has finally launched the grand Vivo X60 series with two handsets – Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro. Both these handsets share most of the specifications same and vary slightly in majors. Pre-orders for both the handsets have started already in China. Here’s more about them;

Vivo X60 series specifications

Both the standard and Pro variants of Vivo X60 sport a 6.56″ AMOLED display with 2376 × 1080p resolution and supports HDR10+ and 120 screen refresh rate. With 5nm based Exynos 1080 SoC under the hood, both the X60 and X60 Pro runs on Android 11 based OriginOS 1.0.

In terms of cameras, the X60 Pro has a 48-megapixel (f/1.5) Sony IMX598 lens as the primary sensor, followed by a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens with 120° coverage, another 13-megapixel telephoto lens with 50mm 2X optical zoom and an 8-megapixel (f/3.4) periscope lens with 5X zoom. The primary lens, as said, is made with Zeiss optics.

The standard Vivo X60 sports the same 48-megapixel (f/1.5) Sony IMX598 lens with Vivo’s micro-gimbal stabilization support. This is followed by a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens with 120° coverage, another 13-megapixel telephoto lens with 50mm 2X optical zoom.

Finally, with all needed connectivities, the X60 Pro has a 4200mAh battery, and the regular X60 with a 4300mAh battery. Users can choose from either 8GB or 12GB RAM variants.

Pricing and Availability

The 8GB + 128GB variant of Vivo X60 is priced at $537 (¥3,500), and the 12GB + 256GB at $583 (¥3,800). The Pro variant has only one storage variant of 12GB + 256GB, which has a price tag of $690 (¥4,500). While there are rumors of a Snapdragon 888 SoC powered Vivo X60 Pro+, the just-launched handsets are available for pre-orders in China starting today, with shipping from January 8th 2021 onwards.
