After a prolonged time, Xiaomi’s spin-off brand Redmi comes with an Ultra edition of its flagship model, Redmi K30. The newly launched Redmi K30 Ultra shares most of the specs from Redmi K30 Pro, but ships with a different processor and refreshments in display capabilities. Here’s everything you need to know;
Quick Navigation
Redmi K30 Ultra Specifications
This handset sports a 6.67″ AMOLED display with 1080 × 2400p resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. It’s protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and supports HDR 10+. A significant upgrade over K30 Pro here is the screen refresh rate, which is bumped to 120Hz from 60Hz. Also, it has no notches or bezels on the screen, and has 1,000 nits of peak brightness!
Moving into the internals, this new K30 Ultra runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000+ chipset, which is completely different from its counterpart’s Snapdragon 865 SoC. Although both are 5G chips made on the 7nm process, the performance load managed by both these chips are significantly different. For example, the Dimensity 1000+ splits the working between four Cortex 77 cores clocking at 2.6GHz and four cores at 2.0GHz running by Cortex A55.
Whereas the Snapdragon 855 has a single high-performance Kyro 585 core clocking at 2.84GHz, and other limited to under 2.5GHz. Yet, both runs on the same software as MIUI 12 based on Android 10. Since MediaTek SoC, the K30 Ultra has Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. It has no slots for extra storage and comes with upto 8GB RAM and 512GB onboard storage.
Regarding cameras, it packs a quad-rear setup like 64-megapixel (f/1.9) as the primary sensor, a 13-megapixel (f/2.4) ultra-wide lens, a 5-megapixel (f/2.2) macro lens and a 2-megapixel (f/2.4) depth sensor. Upfront, there’s a motorized pop-up lens of 20-megapixel. It has linear vibration motor and stereo speakers.

It has all the general connectivities along with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a 4500mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. This capacity is slightly lower than Redmi K30 Pro but has a compensating fast charging tech. It’s available in Midnight Black, Mint Green and Moonlight White colours.
