Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo was all set to launch V19 on March 26. Now the company has announced the suspension of V19 and other devices launch indefinitely in India due to the major ongoing lockdowns in the country.
Earlier Xiaomi had suspended the launch of its upcoming flagship Mi 10 due to the same reason cited above. The company also closed its Mi Home stores across the country and stopped the delivery of its devices amid the lockdowns.
Vivo, in a tweet, said “It’s a difficult time and the world needs all the help it can get.
We are doing our bit to help curb the spread of COVID-19.”
The tweet also has a statement attached in which the company said it is in touch with the government authorities to ascertain the need of essential supplies and vows to work closely with the government and donate surgical and N95 masks for the doctors and healthcare workers.
