The Galaxy S20 FE features a 6.5-inch display with a 120Hz display refresh rate
Samsung has just launched a stripped-down version of its current flagship Galaxy S20. Named as the Galaxy S20 FE, this Fan Edition (FE) variant is designed similarly to its big brother and comes in both 4G and 5G models. While the company hasn’t announced the price of its 4G phone yet, it revealed the handsets coming in six colors, giving users more choices. Here’s everything about it;

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Specifications
While we’re waiting for a successor to Galaxy S20 Ultra, Samsung has launched a new handset in its S20 series. The new Galaxy S20 FE sports a 6.5″ FHD+ display (1080 × 2400p) with a pinhole design, placed at the top centre of the display. The Super-AMOLED display, which the Samsung calls as Infinity-O has 120Hz refresh rate, 407 PPI, HDR 10+ 20:9 aspect ratio and protected by Gorilla Glass 3.

Running on Android 10 based One UI 2.5, Samsung decided to make two variants of this model varying by their connectivity features. Thus, the handset supporting the 5G connectivity comes with Snapdragon 865 SoC with Adreno 650 GPU, and the one coming with 4G connectivity comes with Exynos 990 SoC with Mali-G77 MP11 GPU.
In the rest of the features, both the variants share the same specifications as display and software. Regarding cameras, the Galaxy S20 FE has a triple rear set up as – a
12-megapixel (f/1.8) lens as a primary sensor with OIS, another 12-megapixel (f/2.2) lens as an ultra-wide-angle lens with 123° coverage and an 8-megapixel (2.0) lens as a telephoto sensor. Upfront, there’s a 32-megapixel (f/2.0) lens for selfies.
It comes with a RAM option of upto 8GB and with a UFS onboard storage of upto 256GB. With all required sensors and connectivities like Bluetooth 5, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC, Wi-Fi, 4G and 5G (optional), it has an in-display fingerprint sensor and comes with AKG optimized stereo speakers.
Finally, it has a 4500mAh battery with 15W fast charging support and comes in six colours as Cloud Lavender, Cloud Red, Cloud Mint, Cloud Orange, Cloud Navy and Cloud White.
Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is price starts from $699 onwards for the 6GB + 128GB model and goes up for the 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 255GB variants. While these are for 5G models, the price tag of 4G is yet to be revealed. It’s available for pre-ordering from today, with sales commencing from October 2nd in select markets.
