Moto G 5G launched as India’s new cheapest 5G smartphone

Motorola has just unveiled its budget 5G handset, Moto G 5G in India after launching it initially in Europe this month. The new phone has Snapdragon chip, triple-rear cameras, large display and a fine battery capacity. It’s priced much below the list price, and is exclusive to Flipkart. Here’s more about it;

Moto G 5G Specifications

The all new Moto 5 5G sports a 6.7″ FHD+ LCD display with 1080 × 2340p resolution. It’s got HDR10, a top center pinhole camera, and is IP52 certified for dust protection. Running on Android 10 stock OS, it has Snapdragon’s 730G embedded in with Adreno 619 GPU for processing the system works.

With 6GB RAM and 128GB on-board storage, it has a shared microSD slot for expanding storage. In imaging, it has a triple-rear setup lead by a 48-megapixel (f/1.7) lens as primary sensor, followed by an 8-megapixel (f/2.2) ultra-wide angular lens with 118° coverage and a 2-megapixel (f/2.4) as macro lens. Upfront, there’s a single 16-megapixel (f/2.2) lens in the pinhole display.

Besides supporting 5G, it has other connectivities as dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, audio jack and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. With fingerprint rear mounted, it has a fair 5000mAh battery with 20W fast charging support. It’s available in two storage variants as Frosted Silver and Volcanic Grey.

Moto G 5G Pricing and Availability

While Motorola has announced two storage variants in Europe launch, it bought only the single variant for Indian market. Thus, the sole variant of 6GB + 128GB is priced at Rs.20,999, which actually has a list price of Rs.24,999. This handset is exclusive for Flipkart, and buyers with SBI, Axis and HDFC Bank cards can get additional Rs.1,000 discount
