Nokia 1.4 launched with Android 10 Go and dual rear cameras

As we’ve talked about earlier, Nokia has finally unveiled the first of its 2021 handsets – Nokia 1.4. The budget smartphone is the first one to sport dual-rear cameras in the Nokia 1-series and runs on Android Go. This makes the phone being light on the software front and still picks up all the Google offered services. Here’s more about it;

The all-new Nokia 1.4 is the direct successor of Nokia 1.3 and sports a 6.52″ HD+ display with a teardrop notch display design. It has a resolution of 720 × 1600p, with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It runs on Android 10 Go edition, which is the stripped variant of the actual OS, and have compressed features.

Upgradeable to Android 11 Go edition, this handset runs on Snapdragon 215 SoC, which is a quad-core processor having clock speeds of up to 1.3GHz and is coupled with Adreno 308 GPU. It will come in three RAM variants of 1GB, 2GB, and 3GB, with relevant storage capabilities of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB respectively. Also, it’s expandable up to 128GB via microSD.

Regarding imaging, it has a dual-rear setup led by an 8-megapixel lens as primary sensor and a 2-megapixel macro lens. Upfront, there’s a single 5-megapixel set in the notch. Since it comes with Google Camera Go, it’s capable of taking fine Portrait shots, Night photography, etc.

Charging through MicroUSB 2.0, it has Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, GPS, audio jack, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Finally, it has a decent 4000mAh battery and comes in Fjord, Charcoal, and Dusk colors.

The Nokia 1.4 has a starting price tag of $120 (€99/£89) and will be priced accordingly to the rest variants when it will go the sale next month. A good thing here, Nokia ships a free screen protector pre-applied onto the display.
