A reliable Chinese source says that Vivo will come with a new handset called Vivo S7t soon, extending the S7 lineup. He also revealed that this upcoming phone will have a MediaTek’s Dimensity SoC instead of Snapdragon, which supports 5G. Also, the rest features will be the same as the vanilla Vivo S7. If that’s the case, here’s all about it;
Vivo S7t to have same specs as Vivo S7
Vivo has launched the vanilla V7 in August last year and followed by a Vivo S7e the very next month. Now, a Chinese tipster on Weibo revealed that Vivo would soon come up with a new phone called as Vivo S7t. This is touted to be having the same specifications as Vivo S7, but with the chip being replaced with Dimensity 820 SoC.
That’s a premium chipset supporting 5G and fair clock speeds. If it will be sharing the specifications of vanilla Vivo S7, it should come with a 6.44″ AMOLED display with Snapdragon 765G SoC. It has 8GB RAM and up to 256GB on-board storage and has triple rear cameras led by a 64-megapixel lens.

This is followed by an 8-megapixel and a 2-megapixel lens at the rear. Upfront, there are two cameras 44-megapixel and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. It has a decent 4000mAh battery and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Since it was launched with Android 10, we expect Vivo S7t to ship with Android 11 out-of-the-box.
Vivo should make few more changes to differentiate this upcoming piece from the old Vivo S7. While it seems there’s no room to upgrade, it can try adding an additional camera at the rear, and surely be bumping up to a new 5G processor that’s efficient and speedy. Also, it can try upgrading to a faster charging technology and GPU unit.
