Far Cry 6 is free to play this weekend

Up until August 7 you can explore the entire game, and it's also discounted.

Additionally, everyone who enjoys themselves in the state of Yara, which is modelled by the Caribbean, will be able to purchase the game for up to 60% less.

The game is currently available for download on consoles and through Epic, Stadia, and Ubisoft Connect. Access will be withdrawn on August 8 at 2 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. PT.

Although Far Cry 6 had previously been on sale, this is the first instance that we are aware of in which it is absolutely free to try.

Even better, if you enjoy it and decide to buy it after the free weekend has passed, all of your work will be preserved.

If you haven't played any of the Far Cry games, you should since they're a lot of fun and will keep you occupied for months.

Players can also participate in the global Photo Mode competition, which opened today, August 5, and runs through August 12.

Ubisoft is offering discounts on the game and season pass in order to further entice prospective new customers.

The same discounts and no additional credit are only available through August 8 if you're playing the game through the Epic Game Store.
