Vivo S7 5G launched: A new camera phone for mobile photographers

Vivo has launched a new handset named Vivo S7, which supports 5G, fair battery and super cool cameras. The new smartphone by Vivo emphasizes both front and back camera, making it a good choice for mobile photographers. Well, it’s not bad from withing too. Let’s see them all;

This new handset sports a 6.44″ AMOLED display with 1080 × 2400p resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. With 85% screen-to-body ratio and 409ppi density, it supports HDR and an NTSC colour coverage of 98.5%. It’s got the old iPhone-style notch to house dual front cameras, and the fingerprint sensor was embedded in-display.

Within, the Vivo S7 is processed by Snapdragon’s 765G CPU and Adreno 620 GPU. It’s an octa-core processor with peak clocking speeds at 2.2Ghz from a Kyro 475 Gold core. It ships with Vivo’s Funtouch 10.5 OS over Android 10, and with no audio jack or external slot for extra storage.

Regarding cameras, it has a triple rear setup as 64-megapixel (f/1.9) as the primary sensor, followed by an 8-megapixel (f/2.2) as an ultra-wide lens with 120° coverage and a 2-megapixel (f/2.4) lens as a depth sensor. It’s capable of electronic image stabilization and has Super Night Mode.

Upfront, there’s the dual set-up of 44-megapixel (f/2.0) as primary sensor and an 8-megapixel (f/2.3) as the ultra-wide lens with 105° coverage. Either side of camera setups is capable of 4K video and simultaneous recording.

It’s got 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM with either 128GB or 256GB UFS 2.1 onboard storage. And with all the required connectivities like NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, Dual-band Wi-Fi and aptX HD audio. Finally, it has a 4000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

Vivo S7 5G Price and Availability


The all-new Vivo S7 5G is available in three colors, viz. Black, White and Monet. The Monet variant is typical and the most appealing of all, since it gets a flashing mixture of Purple and Blue.

The handset is priced as ¥2,800 (~$401) for the 8GB + 128GB variant and ¥3,100 (~$444) for the 8GB + 256GB variant. These can be pre-ordered now in China, with sales commencing from August 8th (for 128GB variant) and later (for 256GB variant).
