The mid-range king Mi is back to the market with this year’s new Note line up.

Ever since the launch of Mi’s Redmi note 3, the market is shooked by the new launches of this lineup. The newest welcomed member is Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. The all-new Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is power-packed and is once again ready to rule the Indian mid-range market.
Specifications:
Design:
The device sports a Corning Glass front (Gorilla Glass 5) and glass back (Gorilla Glass 5). The whole frame is kept polycarbonate build. The build quality is very promising in this price range. The glass back gives it a premium look. The phone is not completely waterproof but is capable of handling small splashes of water. It comes in 3 colors; Aurora Blue, Glacier White, and Interstellar Black. The fingerprint reader is mounted on the side frame this time.
Display:
The display is also very good in the price range. This time the brand goes with an IPS LCD screen. The screen size is 6.67″ with an approx of 85% screen to body ratio. The display unit of 20:9 ratio with 1080 x 2400 pixels of resolution(FHD+ DotDisplay).
Performance and Memory:
The performance is always the highlight for the brand. This time the device is powered by Qualcomm SM7125 Snapdragon 720G which is based on 8nm technology. This Octa-core CPU is configured as 2×2.3 GHz Kryo 465 Gold & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 465 Silver. The configuration is well enough to provide good power efficiency to performance ratio. The CPU is coupled with an impressive Adreno 618 GPU, This combination is enough to make it a perfect mid-range beast.
The memory unit is also very diversified. This time the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes with these memory options – 64GB ROM with 6GB RAM, 128GB ROM with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM with 8GB RAM. The unit is based on UFS 2.1 storage which is a bit compromised.

Camera:
The camera unit is also very well organized. The device sports AI Quad Camera Array. The configuration varies as; one 64 MP, f/1.9, (wide), 8 MP, f/2.2(Ultrawide), along with 5 MP, f/2.4(macro) and one last 2 MP, f/2.4, (depth-sensing). The video shooting is also good on the rear unit with a recording ability of 2160p@30fps, 1080p@30/60/120fps, and 720p@960fps.
The front unit is a 32-megapixel (wide). The camera is good enough to produce good selfies. But the recording on the front camera can go max up to 1080p@30fps.

Battery:
The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is powered by a Li-Po 5020mAh battery pack. The device is capable of fast charging up to 33W. The phone is advertised to get charged by 50% in just 30 mins.
Price:
The prices are kept very aggressive this time. The variant costs as:

6GB/128GB-Rs. 16,999 ($230)
8GB/128GB-Rs. 18,999 ($257)
Overall Impressions:
On paper, the specifications are very amazing. There are no major issues found yet. The storage unit (UFS2.1) could be somehow improved. Other than this the device is amazing and can be a performance beast at this price range.
