Realme 6 and 6 Pro finally launched

Realme, as expected, is ready to ‘DARE TO LEAP’ with their all-new Realme 6 lineup. Earlier, Realme had launched X50 Pro. The device was termed as India’s first 5G smartphone.

Design

The build is not as solid as expected. The color schemes were, however, has been improved by Realme. The new device comes with 2 new colors inspired by COMETS ( as advertised by the brand ); Comet blue and Comet white. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The sim slot is triple-slot sim-tray, 2 sim card + one microSD

Display

In order to fulfill current market standards, Realme went ahead with a better display unit this time. The display is a 6.5-inch display with a resolution of 2400×1080 FHD+. The resolution is enough to provide a good cinematic experience. The bezels on the display are so thin that the screen to body ratio goes to approximately 90.5%. The latest trends of 90Hz Refresh rate of the screen is also included in the package. The 90Hz display works fabulously.

Performance

The new device is powered by an octa-core processor with tag name MediaTek Helio G90T. The configuration of the processor varies as two 2.05GHz Cortex A76 cores and six 2GHz Cortex-A55 cores for power efficiency. The GPU used this time is by Mali titled MAli ARM G76 MC4. The GPU is enough to give a seamless and lag-free gaming experience.

Memory

The memory unit comes with a variety of options. The potion goes like – 4GB/6GB/8GB LPDDR4x dual-channel RAM unit. The internal storage is UFS2.1 storage. The storage goes in different variants as 64GB/128GB.

Camera

A total of 5 cameras are housed on the device. There are 4 cameras or a Quad-Camera setup on the back panel and one in-display camera. The rear camera setup features 64MP Ultra high-resolution wide-angle camera ( Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor ), one 8MP f/2.3 ultrawide (119 degrees), a 2MP dedicated macro camera along with the fourth one, a 2MP B&W for portraits.

The front in-display unit is a 16MP Primary camera. The field of vision for this one goes all the way up to 79.3 degrees/ The camera comes with an aperture of f/2.0. The front camera on paper looks very good.

Battery

The battery unit this time is a 4,300mAh battery pack with 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging. The company includes a 30W charger inside the box for better user ease.

Price and Availability

The price is kept very aggressive. The price list goes like this:

  • 4/64 GB for Rs. 12,999 ($175)
  • 6/128 GB for Rs. 14,999 ($ 202)
  • 8/128 GB for Rs. 15,999 ($ 216)

The device is available on Flipkart and Realme’s Official Website. The sales will begin starting from March 11.

Final Impressions

The device is priced very aggressively. The new mid-ranger contains almost everything needed but there is still room for a bit more development. The option for a Gorilla Glass 5 or 4 would have been better. Except this, the phone is power-packed with surprises and is an absolute beast in this price segment.
