After a long wait for about a year. Finally, Poco launches its Poco F2 Pro smartphone. As anticipated this phone is the rebranded version for the previously launched Redmi K30 Pro smartphone which was launched in China.
Like its predecessor Poco F1, Poco has maintained the same conspiracy of bringing out new ‘true & original’ flagship killer smartphone into the market.
Poco F2 Pro: Specifications and Features
As mentioned above, Poco F2 Pro is the rebranded version for the Redmi K30 Pro and yes both phones are identical in terms of internals and externals as well. The only difference will be the branding of Poco.
Display
Poco F2 Pro features a huge 6.67-inches FHD+ AMOLED Display which sadly skips off the high refresh rate support. Instead, the smartphone features with all other premium features like 180Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+ support, and a peak brightness of 1200nits.
Also, the display split off the peak resolution of 2340x1080p resolutions. Like Redmi K20 series, Poco F2 Pro features in with a notch-less cum bezel-less display which provided truly a fullscreen experience to the users.
Processor
Poco F2 Pro still maintains to be a flagship killer through which it is powered by the most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. Also, the smartphone supports 5G connectivity through an all-new Snapdragon X55 modem onboard.
RAM and Storage
In terms of RAM and storage, Poco F2 Pro features in with up to 8GB of latest LPDDR5 RAM and storage support of fast UFS 3.1 storage with up to 256GB space. Also, the smartphone supports a read and write speed up to 777MB/s.
Camera
On the back, Poco F2 Pro features a quad camera setup which includes a 64MP Sony IMX686 as the main sensor. Then, a 13MP Ultra-wide camera sensor which the FOV (field of view) of 123-degrees.
The last two are a 5MP telephoto cum macro camera sensor and a 2MP depth sensor as well. Also, as like Samsung S20 Ultra, even Poco F2 Pro allows capturing 8K videos as well with that few other features like portrait videos and slow-mo selfies are available as well.
On the front, Poco F2 Pro features in Pop-up style 20MP selfie which supports features like video recording up to 120FPS and vlog mode as well. Also, we will get to see a highlight RGB notifications light baked into the pop-up module.
Other Features
One of the main features of Poco F2 Pro is that it achieved an AnTUTU benchmark score for about 589,983 which higher as compared to more expensive flagships like OnePlus 8 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra (Exynos variant).
Also, Poco F2 Pro features the latest Liquid Cooling 2.0 technology where we will get to see a vapor chamber and graphene sheets inside the cooling tube to keep the temperature in check.
The phone also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi 6 support, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and GPS support onboard as well. Also, the smartphone comes with an IR blaster at the top to let you control home appliances.
Battery and Charging
With the 5G modem and connectivity, the phone tends to suck more battery. So, to maintain a better battery performance Poco F2 Pro packs in with a huge 4,700mAh battery, with that it also supports 30W wired fast charging as well.
Pricing
Poco F2 Pro is said to come in two different configurations which are 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The base variant is priced at $541. Then, the top-end variant is priced at around $650.
