The all time-intense flagship player OnePlus is all set. The brand is going to play its new knight in the flagship board. On April 14, OnePlus launched the hotly anticipated OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro through an online event. it is the latest hyped devices by OnePlus and possibly a new statement for all upcoming flagships.
Let us deep-dive into the key specifications and price of the new killer flagship by OnePlus.
Specifications
All new design
The new OnePlus 8 Pro sports the new trendy punch hole set up on the front. The device is made on an aluminum frame. The front and back are made of glass(Gorilla glass) with a full matte finish. The device is not having any headphone jack as expected.
The device is not so heavy as compared to other flagships in the market. it just weighs 199g. The device comes in 3 colors namely; Glacial Green

Display
OnePlus claims to sport their best display on this new device. The phone sports a “Fluid AMOLED touchscreen display”. The 6.78 inches display has an approximate 91% screen to body display. The resolution of the display can be altered with inbuilt software. But it goes to a max resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels (QHD+).
The screen is rated HDR10+. The new device is capable of having the trendy 120Hz refresh rate. This can also be turned down to 60Hz as per user preference.
Performance and Memory
The all-new OnePlus 8 Pro features flagship-grade Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. This octa-core CPU is configured as 1 core@2.84 GHz Kryo 585, 3 cores@2.42 GHz Kryo 585 and 4 cores@1.8 GHz Kryo 585. The perfect balance of power to power consumption can be seen here. The GPU this time is Adreno 650.
The RAM is an LPDDR5 memory. There are two variants of RAM – 8GB & 12GB. The internal storage comes in two variants as well – 128GB & 256GB. The UFS 3.0 and “Turbo White” claims to add up the speed by 125% than regular UFS3.0 Storage. The company also claims an increased speed of the processor by 20%.

Camera
In comparison to previous camera performances of OnePlus, this time it seems to be better. The rear sports a quad camera setup. There is 48-megapixel, f/1.78 wide-angle camera (main camera), one 8-megapixel f/2.44 Telephoto snapper, thirdly a 48-megapixel f/2.2 Ultra Wide Angle lens(120° field of view) and lastly a 5-megapixel f/2.4 Color Filter lens.
The flash is a Dual-Tone LED flash. the rear unit has both OIS and EIS in it. Unlike other flagships, the videography only supports 4K video at 30/60 and 1080P fps video at 30/60 fps.
The front panel is quite simple. It only has a 16-megapixel (Sony IMX471 sensor) with an aperture of f/2.45.The front has EIS only. The backslash could be not having an OIS on the front.
Battery
The device is powered by a 4510 mAh battery. The twist comes with the chargers. The device is capable of 30W fast wired charging and 30W wireless charging capability.

The device claims to be charged up from 0-50% in about 25 minutes. This charging speed doesn’t match with current flagship standards. However, this speed is enough to juice up that battery pack, in minimal time.
Price
The price is hiked a little bit in contrast to previous years. The two variants are tags as:

Final Impressions
The new OnePlus 8 Pro is a true flagship with all the matching standards. However, the battery is reported to wear-out in a day with heavy or intense use. The wireless charging issue is also reported.
The device is capable of fast wireless charging in OnePlus wireless charger. In other devices, the charging speed decreases to 5W which is too slow for a device of current standards.
The IP68 certification finally giving it some more flagship values. On a final note, the device is ready to fire up the flagship market once again.
