Lenovo has introduced its first-ever flagship gaming smartphone – The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel. Though vested with all needed specifications, this new handset is clearly not for daily uses but intended for core gamers. The Legion Phone Duel competes directly with the Asus ROG Phone 3, which was launched the same date. The Legion phone has the following features;
Lenovo Legion Phone Duel Specifications
This all-new gaming handset from Lenovo has a 6.65″ AMOLED display with 2340 x 1080p resolution. With a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, it has 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display has no notches, as the phone shifts its front camera to sidewards, which seemed initially awkward. But that serves a different purpose. The phone runs on Android 10 based ZUI 12, which is Legion bloatware and has a range of software features to discuss.
The native skin includes horizontal UI, which is used to play a certain game and also interact with the other game behind. There are six customized layout themes, with each different interface elements, icons and colors.
Moreover, it even lets you cast screen to a TV or a monitor and play a game. This can be operated by wireless peripherals or connected ones. This one of kind Softwares support was never seen before. We have to wait and see how much lag it creates in the gameplay.

In the internals, Legion Phone Duel runs on Snapdragon’s latest 865+ SoC, which comes with Adreno 650 GPU and 5G support. Also, it has storage options up to 512GB of onboard storage and also RAM of up to 16GB! There’s no option to expand the internal storage due to lack of slot availability.
Regarding cameras, it packs a dual-rear setup as 64-megapixel (f/1.89) lens as the primary sensor and a 16-megapixel (f/2.2) lens as a secondary sensor that serves ultra-wide angle shots. Upfront, there’s a single 20-megapixel (f2.2) lens for selfies. But, the front camera and its placement at side plays a different role as per Lenovo.
This pop-up front camera would come handy for streaming and also a broadcasting option to cast your content on YouTube or Twitch. Further, there are also four noise-cancellation microphones to let you record clean audio while streaming.
These features will hint you that it’s specifically made for gamers. Finally, it has all the required connectivities like 5G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, NFC, GPS, USB Type-C ports, and several sensors.
With an in-display fingerprint sensor, this handset has a pair of batteries, capable of 2500mAh each. And to charge them, Lenovo has set two USB ports at the bottom and side! These batteries if combined, gives an output of 5000mAh and support 90W fast charging! The company says it can power up the handset from 0-50% in just 10 minutes, and the first half in another 20 minutes.

The phone will be coming in Vengeance Red and Blazing Blue colours. It’s said the phone will be available in China initially later this month, and the global availability is yet to be revealed.
