Huawei has launched a new tablet in its MatePad series, which comes with mediocre specifications and targeted towards basic-level users. Named as MatePad T8, the tablet was initially launched back in May this year and now walks into the Indian market in the budget segment. Here’s everything about it;
Huawei MatePad T8 Specifications
The new tablet comes with an 8″ LCD display with 1280 × 800p resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. It maintains thick bezels all the sides to let the user carry it without tampering the screen, and view in any direction. It runs on MediaTek’s MT8768 CPU, which features four Cortex A-53 cores clocking at 2.0GHz and the rest same Cortex A-53 cores clocking at 1.5GHz.
With IMG GE8320 as GPU, it has 2GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage with a dedicated slot for expanding upto 512GB. It runs on EMUI 10.0.1 native OS, which doesn’t come with Google Play services since it was disconnected with Google. It possesses a single 5-megapixel (f/2.2) as a rear lens and a single 2-megapixel (f/2.4) lens as front camera.

It has connectivities like dual-band Wi-Fi, and optional LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB 2.0 and an audio jack. It has two variants, one with Wi-Fi and other with LTE. Finally, it has a 5100mAh battery with no fast charging support. All these specifications determine this tablet is designed for entry-level users who wanted a big-screen phone with basic use cases.
Huawei MatePad T8 Pricing and Availability
With only one color variant as Deepsea Blue, the 2GB + 32GB variant is priced at Rs.9,999 and the LTE variant of 2GB + 32GB is for Rs.10,999.
