After months of teasers and leaks, Google has finally publicised the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G handsets. The company has added notable improvements to the new Pixel 5 and slightly upgraded the 4a handset to equip an extra lens and support 5G. Both these handsets come with a Titan M chip

The grand Pixel 5 has a 6″ FHD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. With an OLED panel, it has 432ppi pixel density, 9Hz refresh rate, a punch-hole design and protected by Gorilla Glass 6. It has a single storage variant of 6GB LPDDR4 RAM with UFS 2.1 128GB onboard storage.
Running on pure Android 11, it’s equipped with Snapdragon 765G SoC as reported earlier by Androidical a 7nm processor clocking at 2.4GHz at maximum. Coupled with Adreno 620, it’s IP68 rated for resisting water and dust. While it has no option for expanding the storage, it has connectivities like Bluetooth 5, GPS, USB Type-C port, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi and supports both 5G and 4G.
Regarding cameras, it has a dual rear setup as 12.2-megapixel (f/1.7) lens as the primary sensor and a 16-megapixel (f/2.2) lens as ultra-wide angular. Upfront, there’s an 8-megapixel (f/2.0). Both cameras can record 4K video at the rate of 60fps! With a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, it has a 4080mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
Google has embedded the wireless charging support this time, and there’s an Extreme Battery Saver Mode.

Google Pixel 4a 5G Specifications
The refreshed Pixel 4a comes with a 6.2″ FHD+ display with the same Snapdragon 765G
The Pixel 4a 5G has a dual rear camera and the front camera just as the Pixel 5, that’s able to record 4K @ 30fps. With same connectivities as Pixel 5, the Pixel 4a 5G has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3885mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
Pricing and Availability
While the Pixel 5 is priced at $699, the Pixel 4a 5G comes for $499. Both the phones are limited to selected countries and will be available from October 15 onwards. Buyers would get 3 months of Google Stadia Pro, YouTube Premium, 100GB of Google One Cloud and some Play points and Play Pass.
