After enough leaks and rumors, Asus finally launched its new gaming smartphone – Asus ROG Phone 3. This upgraded handset shares the same design as its predecessor but ramped with the latest flagship specifications. Besides the high-end phone, the ROG brand also launched many accessories like Gamepad, Cases, Dock and Clips for better playing. Let’s check them all;
Asus ROG Phone 3 Specifications
Starting with the phone, Asus ROG Phone 3 has a 6.59″ AMOLED display with 1080 × 2340p resolution and 144GHz resolution. With 19.5:9 aspect ratio, it’s got HDR10+ support, 270Hz touch sampling rate and 650 nits of peak brightness. The glass is being protected by Gorilla Glass 6 and is Flicker Reduction-certified and has TUV Low Blue Light for reducing eye strains.
Under the hood, it’s got the latest Snapdragon 865+ SoC, which is coupled with Adreno 650 GPU and has several features for optimizing to gaming. It’s got GameCool 3 heat-dissipating system and a graphite film along with a 3D vapor chamber.
It also has AirTrigger3 ultrasonic buttons and comes with AeroActive Cooler 3 gear. This has a kickstand and a built-in fan to reduce heat within.

ROG Phone 3 comes in two storage variants of with 8GB/128GB or 12GB/256GB. This handset has a triple rear camera setup as 64-megapixel (f/1.8) Sony IMX686 as the primary sensor, followed by a 13-megapixel (2.4) ultra-wide lens and a 5-megapixel (f/2.0) macros lens.
Upfront, there’s a single 24-megapixel (f/2.0) lens. While it lacks a storage expansion slot, it supports USB connection to store and view external data.
It supports 5G, VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.1, WiFi 6, USB Type-C, and a pair of front-facing speakers that are made up of ROG GameFX and Dirac HD Sound technologies. With the in-display fingerprint sensor, ROG Phone 3 has a massive 6000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. It’s got a 48-pin side dock to plug in gaming accessories for a better experience.
Asus ROG Phone 3 Price and Availability
The ROG Phone 3 coming in 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB are priced at Rs. 49,999 (~$669) and Rs.57,999 (~$776), respectively. It has also got a Kunai 3 Gamepad for Rs.9,999 (~$134), a TwinView Dock 3 for Rs.19,999 (~$268), Mobile Desktop Dock 2 for Rs.12,999 (~174).
There’s even a ROG Cetra Headset launched alongside, worth Rs.7,699 (~$103) and the ROG Cetra Core for Rs. 3,999 (~$54). The handset will be sold in India from August 6th onwards via Flipkart.
